EVIDENCE BASED TRUTH v BIASED FALSEHOOD

EVIDENCE BASED TRUTH v BIASED FALSEHOOD

What is ‘Biased Falsehood’?

Proverbs  14:12       There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.

Why do we, as sinners, love our own way, rather than God’s Rational, Sensible way?

1 Corinthians    2:14           But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

Ecclesiastes  8:11    Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Ezekiel  14:2 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

 14:3   Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?

They want their own way, following the Sin of their father, the Devil!

28:1    The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

 28:2   Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart [is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I [am] a God, I sit [in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

 28:3   Behold, thou [art] wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

 28:4   With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:

 28:5   By thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

 28:6   Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

2 Thessalonians  2:3           Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

 2:4     Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Proverbs  12:15       The way of a fool [is] right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel [is] wise.

Isaiah  5:20   Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

 5:21   Woe unto [them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

How can God get through to man, to persuade him to become ‘rational’, ‘logical’, and to ‘realize his need of Salvation’ from his own ‘sinful bent’ and ‘destructive habits’?

It may seem like a long-winded process, but God speaks to us through our Conscience, assisted by His Truth bearing Preachers, to Lead them to His Word which is the ‘Only’ thing that can satisfy the ‘longings’ and ‘understanding’ of the ‘Search for Wisdom, and the ‘True Meaning of Life’ and ‘Eternity’!

Romans  1:20           For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

 1:21   Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

 1:22   Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

 1:23   And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

 1:24   Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

 1:25   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

 1:26   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

 1:27   And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

 1:28   And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

 1:29   Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

 1:30   Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

 1:31   Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

 1:32   Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Chapter 2

 2:1     Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

 2:2     But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

 2:3     And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

 2:4     Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

2:14    For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

 2:15   Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and [their] thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Ecclesiastes 12:10  The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and [that which was] written [was] upright, [even] words of truth.

 12:11            The words of the wise [are] as goads, and as nails fastened [by] the masters of assemblies, [which] are given from one shepherd.

 12:12            And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books [there is] no end; and much study [is] a weariness of the flesh.

 12:13            Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man.

 12:14            For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.

Isaiah  30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

John  1:1       In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

 1:2     The same was in the beginning with God.

 1:3     All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

 1:4     In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

 1:5     And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

1:9      [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

How much Truth based Evidence does God need, to convince Mankind of His Sinfulness, and show him the Better Choice of Everlasting Life through ‘Complete Surrender’ of ‘Heart’, ‘Will’ and ‘Mind’ to His Spirit?

John  12:9     Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

 12:10            But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

Luke  16:31   And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Who is the Ultimate example of TRUTH?

John  14:5     Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

 14:6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John  20:24   But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

 20:25            The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

 20:26            And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you.

 20:27            Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

 20:28            And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

John  18:38   Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault [at all].

Deuteronomy 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; [but] at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Matthew  18:15      Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

 18:16            But if he will not hear [thee, then] take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

2 Corinthians 13:1  This [is] the third [time] I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

13:5    Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

1 Thessalonians  5:21        Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

God asks us not to just accept Him blindly, as many Fairy Tales and Mythologies put forward, but to Test and Prove all things, in sensible reasoning, not by ‘Feelings’!

Isaiah 1:16    Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

 1:17   Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

 1:18   Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

1 Timothy  4:1         Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

 4:2     Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

 4:3     Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

 4:4     For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

 4:5     For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

 4:6     If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

 4:7     But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself [rather] unto godliness.

1 John  4:1    Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

What is the Ultimate Test of Truth?

Isaiah  8:20   To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.

Matthew 5:17         Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

 5:18   For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

 5:19   Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

James  2:8     If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

 2:9     But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

 2:10   For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.

 2:11   For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

 2:12   So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

 2:13   For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Is this Law of Truth hard or unenjoyable?

Psalms  119:96        I have seen an end of all perfection: [but] thy commandment [is] exceeding broad.

 119:97          MEM. O how love I thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day.

 119:98          Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they [are] ever with me.

 119:99          I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies [are] my meditation.

 119:100       I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

 119:101       I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

 119:102       I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

 119:103       How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!

 119:104       Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

1 John  5:3    For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

 5:4     For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

5:18    We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

 5:19   [And] we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

 5:20   And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

LET THE WEIGHT OF EVIDENCE BEAR IN FAVOUR OF BIBLICAL TRUTH AS WE PROVE ALL THINGS AND SURRENDER OUR HEARTS DAILY TO HIM WHO IS THE EMBODIMENT OF CLEAR, EVIDENCE BASED TRUTH!

AMEN

Deuteronomy 32:4 [He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he.
