Give your BEST!

GIVE OF YOUR BEST!!!

Proverbs 9:10     Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Is your life what you desire it?

Jeremiah  29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Who really is in charge of your life?

Matthew  6:24   No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

What do you want out of life?

Revelation  3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

3:15      I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

3:16      So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

In what areas of your life are you ‘different’ from most of the ‘World’ in which you live?

Philippians 4:4   Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice.

4:5        Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand.

4:6        Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

4:7        And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

In what areas are you probably ‘the same’?

Matthew  6:1     Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

6:2        Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew  6:5     And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6:6        But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

What should be our priorities in Life, knowing what we do?

Matthew 6:31    Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

6:32      (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

6:33      But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Does God expect much from us?  Or little?

Luke 12:42          And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom [his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give [them their] portion of meat in due season?

12:43    Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

12:44    Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

 12:45    But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

12:46    The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

12:47    And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes].

12:48    But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Does He know our weaknesses?

1 John 3:20         For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

3:21      Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, [then] have we confidence toward God.

Philippians 1:6   Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:

Are we to ‘Plan’ our lives?  Or just ‘Let them ‘happen’?

Luke 14:28          For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]?

14:29    Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish [it], all that behold [it] begin to mock him,

14:30    Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Proverbs 26:1     As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

26:2      As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Do things not go according to plan ‘sometimes’?  Most times? Or almost ‘Never’?

Ecclesiastes 11:6              In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both [shall be] alike good.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content.

4:12      I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

4:13      I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
