GOD OF THIS WORLD

WHO IS THE GOD OF ‘THIS’ WORLD?

Romans  12:2           And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians  4:3   But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost

 4:4     In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

  • WHAT ARE HIS PRINCIPLES?

Isaiah  14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

 14:13            For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

 14:14            I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

John  8:44     Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

  • ARE THEY FAIR?

1 Timothy  4:1         Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

 4:2     Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

  • WHAT IS HIS STORY IN A NUTSHELL?

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

 14:13            For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

 14:14            I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High

 14:15            Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

 14:16            They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, [and] consider thee, [saying, Is] this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Job  1:6          Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

 1:7     And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Revelation  12:3      And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads

 12:4   And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

 12:5   And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and [to] his throne.

 12:6   And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days.

 12:7   And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels

 12:8   And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven

 12:9   And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him

 12:10            And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night

Revelation  20:4      And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

 20:5   But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection

 20:6   Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years

 20:7   And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

 20:8   And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom [is] as the sand of the sea

 20:9   And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them

 20:10            And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever

  • HOW MUCH TIME DOES HE HAVE TO FULFILL HIS AGENDA?

Revelation 12:12     Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

2 Peter  3:7   But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

 3:8     But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day

 3:9     The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

  • IS HE SMART, EFFICIENT, RUTHLESS, CUNNING, DECEPTIVE?

Ezekiel  22:23           And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

 22:24            Son of man, say unto her, Thou [art] the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

 22:25            [There is] a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.

 22:26            Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed [difference] between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

1 Peter  5:8   Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

  • HOW CAN WE OUTSMART HIM?

1 Corinthians 1:18  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

 1:19   For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent

 1:20   Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

3:18    Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

3:19    For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

3:20    And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

 3:21   Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

  • WHO SHOULD WE BE TRUSTING?  OURSELVES? OR GOD?

2 Corinthians  1:12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Proverbs 3:5    Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

  • WHAT IS THE KEY TO OVERCOMING HIM?

1 John 5:4     For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

 5:5     Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

 5:6     This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

 5:7     For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

  • WHO WILL BE THE FUTURE GOD OF THIS WORLD?

1 Corinthians  15:26           The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.

 15:27            For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is] manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

 15:28            And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all

Revelation  21:1      And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

 21:2   And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

 21:3   And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.

 21:4   And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

 21:5   And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

 21:6   And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

 21:7   He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son
