The Mark of the Beast and ‘Body Care’

Why does God care about our bodies?

Psalms 139:13         For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

139:14          I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.

  • As Christians (and all who recognize that a Creator made us and designed us well) how should we look after this ‘organism’?

1 Corinthians  3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

3:17   If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.

6:19    What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

6:20   For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

  • Can we live as we please, eat as we please without suffering any consequences?

Job  4:8         Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

Galatians  6:7          Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

6:8     For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

6:9     And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Proverbs  26:2         As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

  • Are we responsible for looking after this structure, sometimes called a ‘temple’?

1 Corinthians  3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

3:17   If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.

  • Are there any guidelines as to how we should treat our bodies? What we should wear? How we should treat our skin? What we should eat? How we should sleep? Exercise etc.

  • What about skin? Whether or not the Mark of the Beast is connected with placing something in people’s skin, is it ok, or appropriate, as Believers, to accept ID receptors in our skin, but not in our Brain, Mind or Activities (Actions)?

Leviticus 19:28        ……………….nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD.

12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.

12:31 And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Romans 12:2           And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

40:5   Many, O LORD my God, [are] thy wonderful works [which] thou hast done, and thy thoughts [which are] to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: [if] I would declare and speak [of them], they are more than can be numbered.

40:6   Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

22:4   I will call on the LORD, [who is] worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

146:6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein [is]: which keepeth truth for ever:

  • Where do we find the solution to All these problems?

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

3:6     In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

3:7     Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

3:8     It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Philippians 4:11      Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content.

4:12   I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

4:13   I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

 3:12   Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

3:13   Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

3:14   If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

3:15   If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

3:17   If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.

3:18   Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

3:19   For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

3:20   And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

 3:21   Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

Philippians 3:13      Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

3:14   I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

3:15   Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

3:16   Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

3:17   Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

3:18   (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:

3:19   Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

3:20   For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

3:21   Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
