THE ‘SANCTUARY’

THINGS MAY LOOK ‘INTERESTING’??? …………………..BUT ‘WHAT’ DO THEY ‘MEAN’ ???

The Bible, especially the old ‘King James Version’, is full of ‘imagery’, and also many ‘archaic’ words which are not used a lot today in our English speaking society ‘all over this World’! This, for an enquiring mind, is an exciting challenge, but, through prayer and the art of ‘Simplification’ ( Looking at the Big Picture of all the elements of the subject at hand in a Grand ‘Overview’, and re-phrasing it in short and simple language) we can put together, in a Logical format, the complete ‘Jig-saw puzzle Picture’ of God’s ‘Method’ of ‘Salvation’!

Please peruse these ‘Brief’ thoughts and associated Bible texts in their logical format as we cover this ‘broad subject of the Sanctuary Symbols’. Please ask the Lord to reveal to you ‘new understanding’ of all the aspects, Physical, Moral and otherwise, which pertain to how we, as Humans, interact between ourselves, and the society of Heaven.

  • OUTER COURT

Revelation  11:1      And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 

 11:2   But THE COURT WHICH IS WITHOUT THE TEMPLE LEAVE OUT, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty [and] two months. 

Hebrews  13:12       WHEREFORE JESUS ALSO, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, SUFFERED WITHOUT THE GATE. 

 13:13            Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. 

  • GATE

Genesis  28:16         And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew [it] not. 

 28:17            And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful [is] this place! this [is] none other but THE HOUSE OF GOD, and this [is] THE GATE OF HEAVEN. 

Exodus  27:16          AND FOR THE GATE OF THE COURT [SHALL BE] AN HANGING OF TWENTY CUBITS, [of] blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: [and] their pillars [shall be] four, and their sockets four. 

Deuteronomy 21:18           If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and [that], when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 

 21:19            Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; 

 21:20            And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son [is] stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; [he is] a glutton, and a drunkard.

Jeremiah  7:1           The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 

 7:2     STAND IN THE GATE OF THE LORD’S HOUSE, AND PROCLAIM THERE THIS WORD, AND SAY, HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD, ALL [YE OF] JUDAH, THAT ENTER IN AT THESE GATES TO WORSHIP THE LORD. 

 7:3     THUS SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS, THE GOD OF ISRAEL, AMEND YOUR WAYS AND YOUR DOINGS, AND I WILL CAUSE YOU TO DWELL IN THIS PLACE. 

 7:4     Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, [are] these. 

 7:5     For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; 

 7:6     [If] ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: 

 7:7     Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. 

Matthew 7:13         ENTER YE IN AT THE STRAIT GATE: FOR WIDE [IS] THE GATE, AND BROAD [IS] THE WAY, THAT LEADETH TO DESTRUCTION, AND MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT: 

 7:14   Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 

LUKE 13:23   THEN SAID ONE UNTO HIM, LORD, ARE THERE FEW THAT BE SAVED? AND HE SAID UNTO THEM, 

 13:24            STRIVE TO ENTER IN AT THE STRAIT GATE: FOR MANY, I SAY UNTO YOU, WILL SEEK TO ENTER IN, AND SHALL NOT BE ABLE. 

Acts  3:1        Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour]. 

 3:2     And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 

 3:3     Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 

 3:4     And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 

 3:5     And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 

 3:6     Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 

 3:7     And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 

 3:8     And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. 

 3:9     AND ALL THE PEOPLE SAW HIM WALKING AND PRAISING GOD: 

 3:10   AND THEY KNEW THAT IT WAS HE WHICH SAT FOR ALMS AT THE BEAUTIFUL GATE OF THE TEMPLE: AND THEY WERE FILLED WITH WONDER AND AMAZEMENT AT THAT WHICH HAD HAPPENED UNTO HIM. 

Hebrews 13:10        We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. 

 13:11            For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. 

 13:12            WHEREFORE JESUS ALSO, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, SUFFERED WITHOUT THE GATE. 

 13:13            LET US GO FORTH THEREFORE UNTO HIM WITHOUT THE CAMP, BEARING HIS REPROACH. 

 13:14            For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 

 13:15            By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name. 

 13:16            But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 

  • INNER COURT

Ezekiel  46:1 Thus saith the Lord GOD; THE GATE OF THE INNER COURT THAT LOOKETH TOWARD THE EAST SHALL BE SHUT THE SIX WORKING DAYS; BUT ON THE SABBATH IT SHALL BE OPENED, AND IN THE DAY OF THE NEW MOON IT SHALL BE OPENED. 

46:2    And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of [that] gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. 

  • LAVER

Exodus  30:18          THOU SHALT ALSO MAKE A LAVER [OF] BRASS, AND HIS FOOT [ALSO OF] BRASS, TO WASH [WITHAL]: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. 

 30:19            For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: 

 30:20            When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD: 

 30:21            So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, [even] to him and to his seed throughout their generations. 

John  13:4     HE RISETH FROM SUPPER, AND LAID ASIDE HIS GARMENTS; AND TOOK A TOWEL, AND GIRDED HIMSELF. 

 13:5   AFTER THAT HE POURETH WATER INTO A BASIN, AND BEGAN TO WASH THE DISCIPLES’ FEET, AND TO WIPE [THEM] WITH THE TOWEL WHEREWITH HE WAS GIRDED. 

 13:6   Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 

 13:7   Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. 

 13:8   PETER SAITH UNTO HIM, THOU SHALT NEVER WASH MY FEET. JESUS ANSWERED HIM, IF I WASH THEE NOT, THOU HAST NO PART WITH ME. 

 13:9   SIMON PETER SAITH UNTO HIM, LORD, NOT MY FEET ONLY, BUT ALSO [MY] HANDS AND [MY] HEAD. 

 13:10            JESUS SAITH TO HIM, HE THAT IS WASHED NEEDETH NOT SAVE TO WASH [HIS] FEET, BUT IS CLEAN EVERY WHIT: AND YE ARE CLEAN, BUT NOT ALL. 

  • ALTER

EXODUS  20:23        YE SHALL NOT MAKE WITH ME GODS OF SILVER, NEITHER SHALL YE MAKE UNTO YOU GODS OF GOLD. 

 20:24            AN ALTAR OF EARTH THOU SHALT MAKE UNTO ME, AND SHALT SACRIFICE THEREON THY BURNT OFFERINGS, AND THY PEACE OFFERINGS, THY SHEEP, AND THINE OXEN: IN ALL PLACES WHERE I RECORD MY NAME I WILL COME UNTO THEE, AND I WILL BLESS THEE. 

 20:25            And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. 

 20:26            Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon. 

Leviticus  4:27          And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth [somewhat against] any of the commandments of the LORD [concerning things] which ought not to be done, and be guilty; 

 4:28   Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. 

 4:29   And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. 

 4:30   And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put [it] upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar. 

 4:31   And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn [it] upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him. 

PSALMS  118:27     GOD [IS] THE LORD, WHICH HATH SHOWED US LIGHT: BIND THE SACRIFICE WITH CORDS, [EVEN] UNTO THE HORNS OF THE ALTAR. 

 118:28          THOU [ART] MY GOD, AND I WILL PRAISE THEE: [THOU ART] MY GOD, I WILL EXALT THEE. 

 118:29          O GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD; FOR [HE IS] GOOD: FOR HIS MERCY [ENDURETH] FOR EVER. 

  • TEMPLE

1 KINGS  6:14          SO SOLOMON BUILT THE HOUSE, AND FINISHED IT. 

6:17    AND THE HOUSE, THAT [IS], THE TEMPLE BEFORE IT, WAS FORTY CUBITS [LONG]. 

PSALMS  11:4          THE LORD [IS] IN HIS HOLY TEMPLE, THE LORD’S THRONE [IS] IN HEAVEN: HIS EYES BEHOLD, HIS EYELIDS TRY, THE CHILDREN OF MEN. 

18:6    IN MY DISTRESS I CALLED UPON THE LORD, AND CRIED UNTO MY GOD: HE HEARD MY VOICE OUT OF HIS TEMPLE, AND MY CRY CAME BEFORE HIM, [EVEN] INTO HIS EARS. 

27:4    One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. 

 27:5   For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. 

Matthew  21:12      And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 

 21:13            AND SAID UNTO THEM, IT IS WRITTEN, MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER; but ye have made it a den of thieves. 

John  2:18     Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? 

 2:19   Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 

 2:20   Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 

 2:21   But he spake of the temple of his body. 

John  8:1       Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 

 8:2     And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 

1 Corinthians  3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 

 3:17   IF ANY MAN DEFILE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, HIM SHALL GOD DESTROY; FOR THE TEMPLE OF GOD IS HOLY, WHICH [TEMPLE] YE ARE. 

6:19    What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 

 6:20   For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 

Ephesians 2:19        Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD; 

 2:20   And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF BEING THE CHIEF CORNER [STONE]; 

 2:21   IN WHOM ALL THE BUILDING FITLY FRAMED TOGETHER GROWETH UNTO AN HOLY TEMPLE IN THE LORD: 

 2:22   In whom YE ALSO ARE BUILDED TOGETHER FOR AN HABITATION OF GOD THROUGH THE SPIRIT. 

Revelation  3:12      Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name. 

  • ENTRANCE (DOOR)

Exodus  29:4 And AARON AND HIS SONS THOU SHALT BRING UNTO THE DOOR OF THE TABERNACLE OF THE CONGREGATION, AND SHALT WASH THEM WITH WATER. 

Hebrews  8:4            For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that THERE ARE PRIESTS THAT OFFER GIFTS ACCORDING TO THE LAW: 

 8:5     WHO SERVE UNTO THE EXAMPLE AND SHADOW OF HEAVENLY THINGS, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount. 

John 10:9      I AM THE DOOR: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

  • HOLY PLACE

Exodus 26:33           And thou shalt hang up the veil under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the veil the ark of the testimony: and the veil shall DIVIDE UNTO YOU BETWEEN THE HOLY [PLACE] AND THE MOST HOLY. 

Exodus 28:42           And THOU SHALT MAKE THEM LINEN BREECHES TO COVER THEIR NAKEDNESS; FROM THE LOINS EVEN UNTO THE THIGHS THEY SHALL REACH: 

 28:43            AND THEY SHALL BE UPON AARON, AND UPON HIS SONS, WHEN THEY COME IN UNTO THE TABERNACLE OF THE CONGREGATION, OR WHEN THEY COME NEAR UNTO THE ALTAR TO MINISTER IN THE HOLY [PLACE]; THAT THEY BEAR NOT INIQUITY, AND DIE: [it shall be] a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him. 

Leviticus 10:8           And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying, 

 10:9   Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: [it shall be] a statute for ever throughout your generations: 

 10:10            And THAT YE MAY PUT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOLY AND UNHOLY, and between unclean and clean; 

Habaukuk  2:20       But the LORD [is] in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him. 

  • CANDLESTICK (7 BRANCHED)

Exodus  25:31          And thou shalt make a candlestick [of] pure gold: [of] beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. 

 25:32            And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: 

25:37 AND THOU SHALT MAKE THE SEVEN LAMPS THEREOF: AND THEY SHALL LIGHT THE LAMPS THEREOF, THAT THEY MAY GIVE LIGHT OVER AGAINST IT. 

Revelation 1:4         John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 

Zechariah  4:1          AND THE ANGEL THAT TALKED WITH ME CAME AGAIN, AND WAKED ME, AS A MAN THAT IS WAKENED OUT OF HIS SLEEP,

 4:6     THEN HE ANSWERED AND SPAKE UNTO ME, SAYING, THIS [IS] THE WORD OF THE LORD UNTO ZERUBBABEL, SAYING, NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT BY MY SPIRIT, SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS. 

PSALMS  119:130   THE ENTRANCE OF THY WORDS GIVETH LIGHT; IT GIVETH UNDERSTANDING UNTO THE SIMPLE. 

  • TABLE OF SHOWBREAD (12 LOAVES)

Exodus 25:30           AND THOU SHALT SET UPON THE TABLE SHOWBREAD BEFORE ME ALWAY. 

2 chronicles  2:4      Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate [it] to him, [and] to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This [is an ordinance] for ever to Israel. 

John  6:35     AND JESUS SAID UNTO THEM, I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE: HE THAT COMETH TO ME SHALL NEVER HUNGER; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 

  • ALTER OF INCENSE

Leviticus  4:5            And the priest that is anointed shall take of the bullock’s blood, and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation: 

 4:6     And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the veil of the sanctuary. 

 4:7     And the priest shall put [some] of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which [is] in the tabernacle of the congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which [is at] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 

16:11 And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which [is] for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which [is] for himself: 

 16:12            AND HE SHALL TAKE A CENSER FULL OF BURNING COALS OF FIRE FROM OFF THE ALTAR BEFORE THE LORD, AND HIS HANDS FULL OF SWEET INCENSE BEATEN SMALL, AND BRING [IT] WITHIN THE VEIL: 

 16:13            AND HE SHALL PUT THE INCENSE UPON THE FIRE BEFORE THE LORD, THAT THE CLOUD OF THE INCENSE MAY COVER THE MERCY SEAT THAT [IS] UPON THE TESTIMONY, THAT HE DIE NOT: 

Romans 8:26            LIKEWISE THE SPIRIT ALSO HELPETH OUR INFIRMITIES: FOR WE KNOW NOT WHAT WE SHOULD PRAY FOR AS WE OUGHT: BUT THE SPIRIT ITSELF MAKETH INTERCESSION FOR US WITH GROANINGS WHICH CANNOT BE UTTERED. 

Revelation  8:3        And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; AND THERE WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM MUCH INCENSE, THAT HE SHOULD OFFER [IT] WITH THE PRAYERS OF ALL SAINTS UPON THE GOLDEN ALTAR WHICH WAS BEFORE THE THRONE. 

 8:4     AND THE SMOKE OF THE INCENSE, [WHICH CAME] WITH THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS, ASCENDED UP BEFORE GOD OUT OF THE ANGEL’S HAND. 

  • VEIL (DOOR OF MOST HOLY PLACE)

Ezekiel  41:2 And the breadth of the door [was] ten cubits: and the sides of the door [were] five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side: and he measured the length thereof, forty cubits: and the breadth, twenty cubits. 

 41:3   Then went he inward, and measured the post of the door, two cubits; and the door, six cubits; and the breadth of the door, seven cubits. 

 41:4   SO HE MEASURED THE LENGTH THEREOF, TWENTY CUBITS; AND THE BREADTH, TWENTY CUBITS, BEFORE THE TEMPLE: AND HE SAID UNTO ME, THIS [IS] THE MOST HOLY [PLACE]. 

Mark  15:37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. 

 15:38            And the VEIL OF THE TEMPLE WAS RENT IN TWAIN FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM. 

Hebrews 6:16          For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation [is] to them an end of all strife. 

 6:17   Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath: 

 6:18   That by two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 

 6:19   WHICH [HOPE] WE HAVE AS AN ANCHOR OF THE SOUL, BOTH SURE AND STEDFAST, AND WHICH ENTERETH INTO THAT WITHIN THE VEIL; 

  • ARK (THRONE)

Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. 

 25:9   According to all that I show thee, [after] the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make [it]. 

 25:10            AND THEY SHALL MAKE AN ARK [OF] SHITTIM WOOD: two cubits and a half [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. 

25:16 And THOU SHALT PUT INTO THE ARK THE TESTIMONY WHICH I SHALL GIVE THEE.  

Revelation  11:19    AND THE TEMPLE OF GOD WAS OPENED IN HEAVEN, AND THERE WAS SEEN IN HIS TEMPLE THE ARK OF HIS TESTAMENT: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.  15:4            Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for [thou] only [art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. 

 15:5   And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 

  • CHERUBS (COVERING ANGELS)

Exodus 25:18           AND THOU SHALT MAKE TWO CHERUBIMS [OF] GOLD, [OF] BEATEN WORK SHALT THOU MAKE THEM, IN THE TWO ENDS OF THE MERCY SEAT. 

 25:19            And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: [even] of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof. 

 25:20            And the cherubims shall stretch forth [their] wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces [shall look] one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be. 

 25:21            AND THOU SHALT PUT THE MERCY SEAT ABOVE UPON THE ARK; AND IN THE ARK THOU SHALT PUT THE TESTIMONY THAT I SHALL GIVE THEE. 

 25:22            AND THERE I WILL MEET WITH THEE, AND I WILL COMMUNE WITH THEE FROM ABOVE THE MERCY SEAT, FROM BETWEEN THE TWO CHERUBIMS WHICH [ARE] UPON THE ARK OF THE TESTIMONY, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel. 

Psalms 99:1  THE LORD REIGNETH; LET THE PEOPLE TREMBLE: HE SITTETH [BETWEEN] THE CHERUBIMS; LET THE EARTH BE MOVED.  

Hebrews 9:1 Then verily the first [covenant] had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. 

 9:2     For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein [was] the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the sanctuary. 

 9:3     And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; 

 9:4     Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein [was] the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; 

 9:5     And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. 

 9:6     Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service [of God]. 

 9:7     But into the second [went] the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and [for] the errors of the people: 

 9:8     The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: 

 9:9     Which [was] a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 

  • MERCY SEAT (ARK LID)

Exodus 25:17           AND THOU SHALT MAKE A MERCY SEAT [OF] PURE GOLD: TWO CUBITS AND A HALF [SHALL BE] THE LENGTH THEREOF, AND A CUBIT AND A HALF THE BREADTH THEREOF. 

 25:18            And thou shalt make two cherubims [of] gold, [of] beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. 

Psalms 25:10           ALL THE PATHS OF THE LORD [ARE] MERCY AND TRUTH UNTO SUCH AS KEEP HIS COVENANT AND HIS TESTIMONIES. 

Psalms 85:9  Surely his salvation [is] nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. 

 85:10            MERCY AND TRUTH ARE MET TOGETHER; RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE HAVE KISSED [EACH OTHER].

 17:7   And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness. 

 17:8   And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. 

 17:9   And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod. 

 17:10            AND THE LORD SAID UNTO MOSES, BRING AARON’S ROD AGAIN BEFORE THE TESTIMONY, TO BE KEPT FOR A TOKEN AGAINST THE REBELS; AND THOU SHALT QUITE TAKE AWAY THEIR MURMURINGS FROM ME, THAT THEY DIE NOT. 

 17:11            AND MOSES DID [SO]: AS THE LORD COMMANDED HIM, SO DID HE.

 10:5   AND I TURNED MYSELF AND CAME DOWN FROM THE MOUNT, AND PUT THE TABLES IN THE ARK WHICH I HAD MADE; AND THERE THEY BE, AS THE LORD COMMANDED ME.

 6:2     Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 

6:3      And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory. 

REVELATION 15:8   AND THE TEMPLE WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE FROM THE GLORY OF GOD, AND FROM HIS POWER; AND NO MAN WAS ABLE TO ENTER INTO THE TEMPLE, TILL THE SEVEN PLAGUES OF THE SEVEN ANGELS WERE FULFILLED. 

Revelation  21:2      And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 

 21:3   AND I HEARD A GREAT VOICE OUT OF HEAVEN SAYING, BEHOLD, THE TABERNACLE OF GOD [IS] WITH MEN, AND HE WILL DWELL WITH THEM, AND THEY SHALL BE HIS PEOPLE, AND GOD HIMSELF SHALL BE WITH THEM, [AND BE] THEIR GOD. 

21:10 AND HE CARRIED ME AWAY IN THE SPIRIT TO A GREAT AND HIGH MOUNTAIN, AND SHOWED ME THAT GREAT CITY, THE HOLY JERUSALEM, DESCENDING OUT OF HEAVEN FROM GOD, 

 21:11            HAVING THE GLORY OF GOD: AND HER LIGHT [WAS] LIKE UNTO A STONE MOST PRECIOUS, EVEN LIKE A JASPER STONE, CLEAR AS CRYSTAL; 

 21:12            And had a wall great and high, [and] had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 

 21:13            On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 

 21:14            And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 

 21:15            And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 

 21:16            And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 

 21:17            And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred [and] forty [and] four cubits, [according to] the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 

 21:18            And the building of the wall of it was [of] jasper: and the city [was] pure gold, like unto clear glass. 

 21:19            And the foundations of the wall of the city [were] garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation [was] jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 

 21:20            The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 

 21:21            And the twelve gates [were] twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city [was] pure gold, as it were transparent glass. 

 21:22            AND I SAW NO TEMPLE THEREIN: FOR THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND THE LAMB ARE THE TEMPLE OF IT. 

 21:23            AND THE CITY HAD NO NEED OF THE SUN, NEITHER OF THE MOON, TO SHINE IN IT: FOR THE GLORY OF GOD DID LIGHTEN IT, AND THE LAMB [IS] THE LIGHT THEREOF. 

MARVELOUS SYMBOLS OF GOD’S SALVATION HAVE FINALLY  COMPLETED THEIR MISSION
